The Finnish mobile phone maker showed off its “Nokia kinetic device” with a flexible display.It is a prototype that lets you physically navigate the phone by flexing and deforming the large screen.

Nokia Windows Phone Apollo To Launch in Mid 2012

Now after Nokia Window Mobile Lumia, Nokia has decided to roll out Apollo Windows phone by the mid of 2012 which is expected to rock the mobile industry.
Apollo will be a "very different game" when compared to the Mango release, the release could make the giant step to Windows Phone 8.

GALAXY NOTE LAUNCH DATE in INDIA


Samsung is all set to launch its new large-screen smartphone - Galaxy Note - in India on November 2. The company will also live stream the launch event from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm next Wednesday. 

The Galaxy Note currently holds the record for the phone with the largest display (5.29-inch). The phone is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 2.3.

The smartphone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera. It has an internal memory of 16 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

While Samsung is yet to reveal its pricing plans for India India, the phone is set be launched in UK this Thursday at an expected price of £594.

Microsoft acquires Skype


Software giant Microsoft has bought Internet communications company Skype for $8.5 billion in its largest ever acquisition deal, Microsoft said.

"Skype is a phenomenal product and brand that is loved by hundreds of millions of people around the world. We look forward to working with the Skype team to create new ways for people to stay connected to family, friends, clients and colleagues - anytime, anywhere," Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was quoted in a statement as saying.

Skype CEO Tony Bates will head the Skype Division in Microsoft.

Google announced to shut down the highly-controversial social networking product Google Buzz, along with several other services in the coming weeks.

"Changing the world takes focus on the future, and honesty about the past. We learned a lot from products like Buzz, and are putting that learning to work every day in our vision for products like Google+. Our users expect great things from us; today's announcements let us focus even more on giving them something truly awesome," said Google in the blog post. 

After Buzz, Google launched Google+ in June, which has been receiving a good response and passed the 40 million user mark, the company's chief executive officer Larry Page said.
